Intelligence unconfirmed, but has potentially global impact.
Two senior administration officials declassified an unconfirmed intelligence report that was given to President Trump in a briefing on December 17. An administration official said, “The U.S. has evidence that the PRC [People’s Republic of China] attempted to finance attacks on American servicemen by Afghan non-state actors by offering financial incentives or ‘bounties.'”
Administration officials are currently working to corroborate the report, saying, “Like all first reports, we react with caution to initial reports… any intel reports relating to the safety of our forces we take very seriously.” If true, the report could significantly alter U.S. relations with China.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the Trump administration would be effective in their search for truth.
- For the Defense Department in their investigations on Afghanistan and China.
- That God’s will would be accomplished in the global relations between China and the U.S.
